researching immigration records proved to be a very challenging and equally rewarding task. www.ellisislandrecords.org  and n.a.r.a. (national archives and records administration) are vital reservoirs of any family history.

photographs taken on the journey add another dimension to the written word.

the journey is not without many real confrontations with a variety of people in a variety of places. this helped to make for a very pleasant experience meandering throughout massachusetts, marche and abruzzo.  arthur and rose offers a "how i did it "approach to genealogical research of the family. this book is the capstone (peak) of the author's work in life from his mid-twenties to his early seventies.
