Do these atrocities exist because children do not vote and cannot afford lobbyists in a highly politicized world?
Have we written our own lethal prescriptions for the disasters we have recently witnessed?
WHO'S RAPING THE CHILDREN? anatomically dissects the different organs which make up the body of this endemic problem, describes the pathophysiology behind them, and proposes holistic remedies.
Dr. Bernier Lauredan, an African American Pediatrician, provides medical care and support mainly to the poor and disenchanted, listens to daily grievances, witnesses the shootings, attends the funerals, shares the pains, and counsels the children, parents, friends and relatives.
A solider in the Invisible army for the defense of our children, this engaged community physician sits on many decision-making boards. He lobbies legislators, advocates in forums, lectures, and mentors children in an attempt to bring about changes and show rays of hope to those without a light at the end of the tunnel.
This humble, orphaned immigrant also welcomes his being the beneficiary of a relative degree of success out of darkness.
He uses his wealth of experience extracted from his days as a poor immigrant, who worked his way through higher education to become a successful pediatrician. Now a respected leader of his New Jersey community, he uses his voice to provide and uplifting and inspiring message.
As the most developed country in the world, the United States of America has the privilege of enjoying the most advanced technology, one of the highest per capita incomes, and supposedly more socio-economic opportunities. However, in contrast with similar democratic countries like Canada, Sweden, and France, the United States of America has the highest infant mortality rate, the highest child poverty rate, and the highest delinquency and juvenile incarceration rate. African-American infant mortality and poverty rates are many times higher than those of their Caucasian counterparts. The latest United States census estimates that African-Americans accounts for about thirteen percent (13%) of the population; however they are the group that continually make up the highest percent of the jail population. Subsequently, the increased number of inmates has naturally led to an increased demand for more jail cells.
The combination of the above factors has resulted in the prison privatization frenzy, a system that is using more and more of our tax dollars. Indeed the prison system portfolio is doing well in the stock market. If you have any money to invest, you might just have received one of the many free tips this book offers. In the past two decades alone, the United States government has built more prisons than rehabilitation centers and has spent less and less resources in prevention and education. Indeed what is said to be judicious may even be far from being just.
Although the United States of America is known to be the Superpower of the world, the alleged land of opportunity, liberty, and justice for all, there remains a considerable segment of this great society that is neglected. The ills of a big society in constant evolution are hurting adults, but are also taking a toll on our children, therein depleting their stock as good tax paying citizens.
This has the real potential to eventually deplete the United States Treasury of needed revenue. Children are not taxpayers, are not supported by lobbyists, and do not vote prior to adulthood. As a result; too many crimes have been committed against them, and little is done with children for their betterment.
They are used as pawns, exploited by their own parents, their countries, the media, worldwide companies, and the judicial system in collaboration with a host of unscrupulous and malicious self-serving attorneys with their support systems.
What is saddest and most frightening is the latest wave of teen violence now sweeping the nations streets, homes, and the schools. Parents, guardians, and the rest of the community are now impotent to discipline their own children as a result of the lethal ammunition now being provided to children.
In the past, the children in a community "belonged" to everyone whether or not they were part of the immediate family. In sharp contrast, today s youth intimidate adults, disregard authority, abuse parents, and disrespect neighbors and teachers.
How can the nation begin to stop misbehaving children from ruining their own lives, driving authority to the edge, biting the hands that feed them, and in a sense, harming all those people trying to help them?
It is this practicing pediatrician s intention to navigate you out of the deep ocean of confusion and light the way as you strive to understand how you can prevent your child, or any child, from becoming exposed to the harm created by the appalling "slavery system" throughout the world, particularly in the United States.
