I Think Of the Youth
I think of the youth
Who defied Hitler’s goons
And dressed American
And danced to American tunes
They too paid dearly
For what they loved
But by then the envelope
Had already been shoved
The Big Band Era
Was in full swing
Hitler thought
He was the only king.
