About the Author

Born of Irish and Cherokee parents in 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana I have lived long enough to watch my dreams be born and live. And others I have cried a million tears over as I watched them die Writing this book is my greatest dream come true! I love sharing my life and heart with those that have walked the same road as I . So I put my heart and soul into giving this piece of my heart to the world. I’m sure there are feelings in this book you have felt at one time or another, but some how couldn’t quite express them. So enjoy and share with those you love.

Many thanks, Bonnie

Spirit In The Wind II

Never far apart ..you and I
As I sweep ...
from Mother Earth to Father Sky
For I am
The Spirit in the  Wind
Ancient and wise
It is I..
That know your secrets from within
As you whisper them I grasp and
carry them to The Creator on high
For I am his messenger in disguise
Upon my breath Brother Eagle soars
Across this land from Mother Earth
To heavens shores
As autumn arrives ...hear my call
Watch as the leaves begin to fall
In spring my mighty breath
the leaves caress....
In summer...
Grandfather Sun will warm you
As I cool you with a welcome breeze
Before winters cold chill cause you to freeze
I Am
The Spirit In The Wind
Sometimes your foe , but more often your friend
I carry the sound of Brother Wolf..
As he howls in hunger or anguish at the moon
Sometimes I will awaken you from dreams
I carry many upon my wings
Listen as I join my Wolf brother
in his nightly sings
Often in the night listen
you can hear the  distant Loon
upon the lake..
As he calls to his mate
From long ago.. .listen and know
The heart beat of ancient drums
as they tell the story of footprints in the snow
And the unkindness of long ago
Listen close my friend , you cannot catch
nor hold me  in your grasp
I am free
For I am
Spirit In The Wind
