I‘m Here To Even Up The Score...
You thought that you were all that and so much more...
You thought that you could just walk back through these doors...
You thought that you could capture my heart as you had done before...
You thought that you could take away all the lies and that all would be like before...
You thought that you could just come back into my life just like before...
You thought that you could control all just like before...
You thought that you could tell me that you love me and that I would hurt no more...
You thought that you could tell me that you have changed and you thought that I would no longer be sore...
You thought that you could do of all this and so much more...
You thought that you could get me to melt into your arms by using your charm once more...
You thought that you could take your love away and just walk out these doors...
You thought that you could return and that my love for you would soar...
You thought that you could promise me the moon and stars and that all would be just like before...
You can think and you can tell me of all this and so much more, but I have to say that I need not of your love anymore...
I’m here to even up the score…

I Cried…
I saw a photo of him today and I cried of so many tears...
I saw his baseball cap in a box and I cried of so many tears...
I saw one of his favorite fishing lures and I cried of so many tears...
I saw one of his favorite books just sitting on a shelf and I cried of so many tears...
I saw letters that he wrote to me and I cried of so many tears...
I saw an old restaurant that we both used to go to and I cried of so many tears...
I saw a movie that we watched together and I cried of so many tears...
I saw our names carved in a big oak tree and I cried of so many tears...
I saw some of our old friends today, they mentioned his name, and I cried of so many tears...
I know that he’s gone and I know that he’s not coming back, but what we had with one another was so very special, we had a love of a lifetime and now with him gone, I can’t help the crying of all these tears...
