From Preface

Freemasonry is America’s National Treasure.  Beyond the excellent Disney movie, the more valuable legacy is about character counting under God.

In our faith, family, our national heritage, and in our human family history—character is the social thread between them all.  No secret—Freemasonry is the philosophic fraternity on the tradecraft of character counting under God for 500+ years! For centuries Freemasonry has valued the internal over the external, the content of character more than royal bloodline privilege; that is world-wide, ancient tradition, and what Freemasonry is all about.  Therein, Freemasonry was a powerful source of our Founding Fathers’ original intent in our Constitution, more than any other single Christian denomination.  No other group in colonial America meeting under God had as much diversity.  That’s a National Treasure to be proud of, not occulted, and the legacy continues today.  In the light, nothing is clearer.

Yet, with shallow concoctions, the anti-Masons and some Religious Right powerbrokers would have many believe that millions are liars or dupes.  They corkscrew the symbolism of Freemasonry often with malignant deception.  Their spook-house tactics are bad enough, but some religious powerbrokers have bought into the Frankenstein concoctions hook, line, and stinker bait.

Character counting is a mighty sledge hammer that chisels and drives eight huge wedges of credibility throughout the two books in this volume.

Here’s a route to all the best anti-Mason criticism.  Yet this book is less about their criticism and more about addressing character head-on.  Character—good, bad, public, private, even legendary—most of all, character counts! We talk to Christians on the compatibility of Freemasonry while lampooning those who have abused, occulted, and prostituted character itself.  Nearly criminal malignance erupts when Christian men call other Christian men fiendish devils with rationales that would embarrass Tweety Bird.  There is a cat in the church house, and we have bagged him.  I had no idea how hateful and sloppy the anti-Mason work was, and my soul burned when I saw that sloppy work was still supported by mighty Christian men.  For God and country, the occulting and prostitution of character needs to stop in the church house.

All pivots on character counting.  Nothing is clearer, even in the dark.

Friends of honor, we expose and lampoon disrespect of honor.  The anti-Masons have avoided correctives for centuries and have never dealt with character counting.  The lampoon is for my friends and fellow Freemasons, to hold up in the face of Frankenstein.  Freemasonry is a part of our country’s foundation, and occulting helps no one.  If ever again the anti-Mason dares to come out of his laboratory, one could tuck this into his pudgy belt loop with a challenge, “Here … you quack.  Character counts! Go back to your septic laboratory and don’t come back until you have dealt with cha
