Truespel Book Two is a reference book for finding the traditional spelling of a word by looking up the phonetic spelling as written in truespel. It solves the problem of looking up words beginning with silent letters by looking up the sounds themselves. Truespel is the first “pronunciation guide spelling” system, based on USA English. It is designed to replace the pronunciation guides in our dictionaries with a new standard keyboard ready phonetic spelling. USA English is now respelled in truespel, allowing great new capabilities. Truespel Book One: Analysis of the Sounds (Phonemes) of USA English (Authorhouse.com) utilizes the database to show the frequency of phoneme usage and the frequency of the various ways of spelling the 40 phonemes of USA English. A converter from traditional spelling to truespel is located at http://www.foreignword.com/dictionary/truespel/transpel.htm. Tutorials on truespel can be found in Books One and Two and at truespel.com. A discussion group is at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/truespel/
Thomas E. Zurinskas, creator of truespel, was born May 2, 1946. He lives with his wife Bonnie in Greenacres Florida. His work career was spent at the Federal Aviation Administration Technical Center in Atlantic City as an Engineering Research Psychologist, Technical Editor, and Quality Assurance Specialist, generally involving air traffic control systems. He now devotes his time to advancing Truespel and using it to analyze USA English. His first book “Truespel Book One: Analysis of the Sounds (Phonemes) of USA English” is a unique reference that expands understanding of the sounds of USA English.

Stress in truespel is on the first syllable, but shifts to the vowel after a double consonant. (To stress two-letter consonants, the first letter is doubled; e.g., ch/cch, sh/ssh, th/tth, thh/tthh, and zh/zzh).
The apostrophe in truespel ( ‘ ) stands for a glottal stop (bottle = baa’ool) and goes between two vowels.
The quote mark ( “ ) in truespel stands for a stressed glottal stop, stressing the next vowel.
The letter “q” in truespel stands for the “Spanish r with one trill”, while “rq” is the “Spanish multi-trill r”.
