The author is a native of Texas who spent much of his adult life in
aviation
He served in Viet Nam with the USAFs First Air Commando Wing and flew
70 combat missions as a navigator on B-26 attack bombers.
Discharged from the service for injuries received in a plane crash, he
became a crop-duster pilot on the Texas/Mexico border.
Today he owns a fiberglass molding shop in his hometown, Marquez,
Texas.
