These are poems from my youth, written from the time I was a geeky teenager to a 20-something, single parent.  I went from not knowing anything about love to being in love, losing it and then reinventing myself to accept love again.

Kathyne Lorraine Jackson has been writing since junior high school.  She is a freelanced writer, poetess, songwriter, and mystery novelist, and is best known for her non-fiction book, “Dear Diary: What My Doctor Never Told Me About Liposuction.”  She loves to travel and is the owner of a small internet business.  She lives in Maryland with her two children and three cats, and is working on the next mystery in the Ranger & The Gang series.

In our gentle mercy

Away from the darkness

That allows no light to seep in

But none to call friend

I welcome you with open arms

Do not disappoint one

Who needs you desperately

Enter

And let your rays

Envelop me

Totally

Completely
