Jon, his wife, Ann Marie, and his sons, Dustin and Derek adopted a little girl, Skylar, from China. And he wrote the Sky Princess series of books to express his feelings for the magic she has brought to their family. Jon is a Colonel in the US Air Force Reserve and an airline pilot for Airtran Airways.
