This is a book primarily intended for adults, although it will likely hold special interests for children as well. It provides advice for fictitious products and real relationships, intended to help both puppies and owners meet real-life relationships head on. The focus of this book is on humor, but the humor is tempered by the awesome responsibility of owning and being owned by a pet. The photos included with the narrative will put, with grace, a smile on your face. Dr. Sam, the female poodle, in the end - at least this end - marries Bingo, the adorable, masculine Havanese. Their story will continue in a sequel, The Family Portrait Album of Dr. Sam and Bingo. As in real life, the story continues . . . as time marches on, and on, and on . . .
Kate Reynolds (Spillane-Weller) began a love affair with writing many years ago, with enigmatic poetry and journalism in her high school years in New Jersey. After graduating from Chestnut Hill College in Pennsylvania, she worked for several years in television with Dick Cavett, Jack Parr, and Marlo Thomas. Life continued to churn, and so her muse lay dormant for many years. It awakens with this, a first book, a renewed inspiration and the embarkation of a life with a new best friend, Dr. Sam, her female first puppy. Dr. Sam loves Kate. Kate loves Dr. Sam. This relationship is enough to inspire her muse. Today, they share a life together as snowbirds, winters in south Florida and summers in Quebec, Canada. As God intends, they continue to share their times and lives together. Kate has a daughter, Clancy Weller, who is a charter broker at Neptune Group Yachting in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Is your puppy or dog hungry? Are you hungry too? Are you both panting for a drink as well? Let’s face it, you are both ravenous! You can see that your poor dog is starving. Well, not you, you are very much overweight and in need of Barkgent's Slim Down Dog. Maybe your favorite dog would like to be invited to wine and dine with you. You should ask him graciously, for his sake and yours. It should be a special occasion, one that will make you both sing and dance into the wee hours of the night. This should probably be done inside your home, even if your dog is housebroken.
