Fletcher the Fly goes on a grand adventure and discovers that while not everyone is tolerant of flies, there are good-hearted people in the world who truly earn the privilege of friendship.
Fletcher the Fly is aimed at a first grade and younger reading level. The repetition of the name makes it easy to follow, and the rhythm of the stanzas make the book fun to read again and again. The illustrations are so impressive that children will pick this book as their bedtime story for quite a long time. Children that are read to by others grow up with an exceptional ability to read, a bigger vocabulary, as well as a love of reading and learning.
About the Author
Stace Pagel’s Dad told her, when she was a child, that she would talk to anyone. "Your next best friend is a stranger you haven’t met". This is the philosophy Stace shares in her story of Fletcher the Fly, the first book in a series.
Stace grew up in Deer Park, TX and now lives in Friendswood with her husband of twelve years and her wonderful boys, ages eight and four. She stays at home with the boys and is a support member of the Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department (FVFD), head of recruiting for her son’s cub scout troop, takes pictures for the local newspaper and special events at the elementary school, and loves to support the boys in their activities, such as baseball and gymnastics. Stace also has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, and before motherhood worked as a Safety, Health, and Environmental Supervisor for three (treatment, storage and disposal of industrial) hazardous waste facilities. Oh… and she loves to write.
