This is the story of a little girl's love for her mother and father, family traditions and a very special quilt. Karen Carr resides in Elkins, West Virginia, with her husband, and is a second grade teacher. She graduated from Davis and Elkins College with a B.A. in Elementary Education, and earned a master's degree from Salem International University. This is her first book.
"This year you get to sleep under the Christmas quilt on Christmas Eve and make your own wish," said my mother. "Just like G.G. Maw and G.G. Paw, just like my mother when she was a girl, and just like I did when I was your age. It is a family tradition. Do you know what you're going to wish for?"
Yes, I knew what I would wish for. It was a wonderful wish. A wish I wanted more than anything.
