The story develops around three friends who live in a country that promotes eco-friendly practices, such as: using reusable shopping bags, riding bikes instead of driving cars, recycling garbage into compost, planting trees with friends and buying fresh produce at the local farmers' market. Mouse, the main character in the book, is very well organized, likes harmony and emulates the orderly rhythms of nature. While Mouse is in the market, his best two friends enter his house and make a big mess. At the end of the story Mouse’s friends apologize for not being respectful of Mouse’s belongings.
Silvia Sullivan has two Masters Degrees from Marquette University: one in Educational Psychology and the other in Mental Health Counseling. Ms. Sullivan is presently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Developmental Psychology at Florida International University. Ms. Sullivan believes that through reading, one can instill values and teach useful skills to young children. Ms. Sullivan has two young sons and one young daughter.
"On an organic pasture, in the countryside of Cleanliness country lived Mouse in his house. It was a beautiful town where everything had a place and everything was put in its place. The inhabitants of cleanliness country took good care of the environment, so they did not make too much waste or garbage."
Meerkat and Monkey learned their lesson "everything has a place." And they apologized to Mouse for what they did.
