One day, Iswurdeo Soborun felt like writing to the world, voicing his feelings, experiences, wishes, his perception of life and its realities. Today he feels like publishing the voice of his heart for his fans and he is pleased to present to you:

The Voice of My Heart – Volume I

Iswurdeo was born in Mauritius and had spent several years in United Kingdom before he moved to Switzerland, a country of great natural beauty that inspires him for his poems….

In 2005, Iswurdeo was awarded “Outstanding Achievement in Poetry” by the International Society of Poets, USA. He has since then written more than 500 poems, many of which are honoured “excellent” by the distinguished Members of the International Society of Poets.

Iswurdeo is now releasing his own books of poems that will appear in various volumes. We invite you to taste the flavour of his expressions…

The Voice of My Heart, Volume I is an IMS Modern Literature Collection©, founded by Meera Sobarun and Iswurdeo Soborun, with a view to reflecting contemporary adventures and conveying messages to the new generation. In modern days, the young people are attracted to the new technologies and it seems literature is slowly disappearing. IMS Modern Literature Collection aims at reviving the interest in reading novels and poems that highlight the richness and beauty of all aspects of modern life in simplicity.

Preface

This book is a treasure of feelings, a true expression of a heart. It presents an amalgam of human life in a world of duality, be it in war or in peace, in sadness or in happiness, in doubt or in trust, in hatred or in love, in acquiescence or in revolt.

This book is like a “dream comes true”, a childhood wish realised too, for a humble man, a dreamer, an observer and an inborn poet whom I see in Iswurdeo Soborun

In my eyes, Iswurdeo has won the most valuable boon, “His great soul”, from where springs his voice. The voice of his heart is destined to reach the world in written art full of meaning, soothing and pleasing the mind of the sensitive or opening the eyes of many, to be bold and face reality, in his philosophical messages to humanity.

The Voice Of My Heart

I feel my heart as wide as the vast ocean,

As spacious as the surface of the sky,

As high as the ceiling of heaven. 

What My heart says,

I write it to the ocean,

I write it to the sky,

I write it to heaven. 

In obeisance, I write, read and feel

The endless flow of words from my heart….

The Voices that I hear as gentle echoes coming

From the valleys of my heart,

Filling me with an endless energy

To write and read forever in art

The pages of my heart.

Brightness comes with the light of the sun,

I cannot stop myself from writing

What my heart has to sing. 

Darkness comes in timely reason,

I continue to sing the songs of my heart. ...
