Scott McCain, a highly motivated individual, has a learning disability and Tourette Syndrome. Too often Scott had to prove himself capable as a student to those that doubted his abilities. Scott faced many challenges throughout his journey; fortunately he was blessed with supportive parents and the guidance of a dedicated special education teacher.
During a time of personal reflection, Scott discovered how his journey prepared him for his true calling in life. Educational Journey depicts a story which provides the reader with unique insight of overcoming adversity through perseverance.
MARC O’NEILL is employed as a counselor working primarily with people with mental health and special needs issues. He has worked as an adjunct psychology instructor and in the fields of developmental disabilities, geriatrics and Special Olympics. His professional interests include creating an awareness of disability issues and advocating for people with disabilities. He received his master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Bowling Green State University and his bachelor of science degree from Grand Valley State University. Marc lives with his wife and daughter in Ohio.
