This new book by Lady Melissa Sutton is inspired by God to help women, (for the men to get a women's point of view) understand that brokenness is the channel or avenue to greatness; without brokenness we will never be able to accomplish the purpose for which we were called.
Although brokenness is a life time process, In her new book, Lady Sutton gives a step by step account of how to possess greatness out of a broken state. This book will not only bless those that read it, but will also encourage, enlighten and empower them in their daily walk with the Lord.
Be encouraged and know that God loves a broken spirit (Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise). You were born to be broken and from broken to GREAT!
Lady Sutton, first time author of "Broken But Not Shattered" is Co-Pastor at House of God International Outreach Ministry with Founder & Senior Pastor, Apostle Patrick Sutton. Her vision is to equip women and men with the Word of God that they may be successful in every area of their life. She's dedicated to the ministry and the Building of God's Kingdom.
Lady Melissa Sutton was born to Lula Mae Fergusson on September 30th in the city of St. Petersburg, Fl. She is married to Apostle Patrick Sutton, founder and Senior Pastor of House of God International Outreach Ministry, located in Lakeland, Fl. They have 3 wonderful sons, Roderick 20, Patrick Jr. 14, Joshua 9, and they are raising 1 beautiful neice, Kiahesia 10.
She is the 4th of seven children (2 brothers & 4 sisters). Lady Sutton and her siblings were raised by their mother, playing the part of both mother and father. It was very hard providing for 7 children but with Gods help it was accomplished. Some years later a Step Father (Albert Fergusson) was added to the family, who eventually became dad, he was a great provider for his family and remains to be a great provider.
Lady Sutton was brought up in the church as a small child, but with a backslidden mother and an unsaved step father church became rare, church was holidays only, if that. At the age of 14, while living in New Jersey she received Salvation and the gift of the Holy Ghost. Trusting and believing in God, not really knowing or understanding the calling on her life, this is where God began to make and mold her into the Woman of God she is today. (Her mother eventually rededicated her life to Christ).
Lady Sutton, broken but definately not shattered, started her journey on the road to greatness, on the road to her destiny. At the age of 15 she began working in the ministry as jr. usher to head usher, teacher, minister and now she's First Lady and Co-Pastor of 5 years at H.O.G.I.O.M. and first time author.
God has used Lady Sutton to start several Outreach Ministries (Ladies ministry, youth & children ministry, nursing home & prison pen-pal ministry, community outreaches and Christmas & Easter productions) under the leadership of Apostle Sutton. She love the people of God and desire to see none perish and that's why she's determined to use the gifts that God has given her to reach as many souls as possible. Lady Sutton has a love for books and for writing. One day while shopping for books God spoke to her and said, "If you have such a love for books, why not write books." This is where her journey as an author began. Still trusting and believing in her Heavenly Father, still being broken for greatness, she's ready to do Kingdom Business. Her book writing is strictly to glorify God, save souls and change lives!
Her desire is to reach as many lost and broken souls as God should allow with her work as an author. Her desire is not for self gain or self edification but that lives will hear the Word of God and change their life styles that God may receive the Glory and that she fulfill her purpose of being called by God. God has given Lady Sutton a command to "Take Back What the devil Stole!" The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12).
There are all kinds of rewards awaiting for us at the other end of going through brokenness. James 1:2-3 says, "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations, knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." When we face the trials of this life, we must consider it joy because the testing of our faith develops patience so that we become mature, complete and lacking nothing. James 1:2-3 says, "Count it all Joy". How can we possibly have joy in our brokenness? As children of God we should have joy instead of fear, knowing that it is only to make us better. Jesus said in John 16:33, "These things I hve spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." This gives us confidence that we can and will overcome our brokenness. When God is for us, that is more than the entire world against us. No matter what we go through concerning our brokenness it's a blessing to know that everything is going to be all right. Jesus has already conquered the enemy. Victory is already ours. It is up to us whether we walk in our victory or not. Our life is in the hands of our Creator and we should be able to trust someone in whom all things are possible. IF GOD IS FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US? No person, no thing, no trial, no tribulation, no devil, no witch - there's nothing that can come against us and defeat us when we have the ALMIGHTY GOD backing us. 2 Chron. 32:7 says, "Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for al l the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:" It's a blessing all by itself just knowing that God is on our side. Christians often thing that they shouldn't go through hard trials simply because they are children of God. Actually, it is because we ARE children of God we MUST go through trials and tribulations. After it's all over there are blessings awaiting us at the finish line. God has given us life that we might overcome through Him. God hired us to do a work for Him and no employer will hire you without supplying what you need to get the work done. God has instilled within us everything we need to be successful in our walk with Him.
