The fifth installment of the Battlecruiser Books continues the adventures of the crew of the Battlecruiser Pegasus and the Task Force 1-Able.  Saatori is back!  He has a new plan as he taps into the memory of his exploits from the attempt of stealing the Battlecruiser Equus and the start of the war.  Now he is designing and building two Drazakii warships, Battlecruisers!  The Kraken and the Medusa are designed for a purpose and one purpose only; to destroy the Battlecruiser Pegasus.  Meanwhile, fleet command has handed Commander Janice Anders Daria and the Battlecruiser Pegasus its biggest mission, to hunt down the Drazakian Third Armada and find the secret base where Saatori is building his new weapon.  The Passion of war continues...

David Schleifer was born in Queens, New York in 1962.  He was educated and raised in Miami, Florida.  A Martial Artist mastering Karate, Kendo, and Aikido, military researcher, naval tactician, and Japanese history expert; David is a prolific writer who produced four of the Battlecruiser Series.

His career actually began in 1987 with the original concept draft of "Battlecruiser: Prototype" entitled "Flight of the Pegasus."  David joined the Florida Romance Writers in 1987 and in 1991, received his Diploma from the Writer's Digest School.  David believes that writing is as much an art form as sketching or martial arts.  This can be seen in his books, a mixture of pure imagination and previous background information.  He is currently working on a graphic version of Battlecruiser.

"Bingo!" Estabrooks exclaimed, "I've got five marks coming up from the southern hemisphere.  Sector fifteen."

Degraff looked down at his display, "Got it."  He watched as the five blips cleared the atmosphere of the planet, heading in their direction.  He switched on his Comm-frequency.

"Fist Leader to Fist Two-Zero-One, combat spread, five marks bearing zero-one-five, tallyho!"

"Copy, Fist Two-Double-Zero,” Degraff’s wingman, Santiago, announced.

Degraff looked left to see his wingman banking the craft over, peeling left.  He pushed the reactionary pedals and pulled his control stick toward his right thigh.  The space between him and his wingman grew as they moved into an attack posture.

"Firestorms," called Degraff

"Copy," Estabrooks said, "Going for the lock, now."

Degraff glanced at his Munitions display.  His Bullpup was loaded with four Firestorms and two Shatterstorms.  The Firestorms were Photosonar-guided missiles.  Once they were locked onto a target, their own active Photosonar would begin homing.  The Shatterstorms were Ion-seeking missiles used for mid to close range combat.  The Bullpup was also equipped with two fixed-wing cannons on each wingtip.

"Locking up on two of the targets, their coming in fast," said Estabrooks.

"Hurry up!" Degraff snapped open the frequency.  The unidirectional communicator will let the Pegasus know what was happening without the Drazakians tracing the signal.

"Lockup on one," announced Estabrooks "Lock up on.  .  ."
