About the Illustrator

Lara Lombardo is a teenager who was diagnosed with autism at the young age of 2. She has endured a lifetime of treatment and therapies. Communication is difficult for her; however, she uses her artwork as a natural means of expression. Since she was old enough to hold a crayon, Lara has completed many, many sketchbooks with her whimsical and creative drawings. Her unique perspective make her drawings a good fit for children's books. Lara lives at the beach in Florida with her parents, her older brother Robert, her dog Bella, and two cats, Sally and Woodstock.

It was Sheldon, the brown and white goat. Midnight and Sheldon rarely saw each other because they usually grazed at opposite ends of the pasture. “MOOOOOOOOO,” said Midnight excitedly. “Hey, Sheldon! Why are you eating my food?”
