If you had the power within your reach to insure your own immortality, would you risk all to grasp it? Think about it. No longer would you plead for the mercy of others. No longer would you bow to invisible masters. No longer would you struggle for table scraps. You could become master of your own destiny. You could become as God.
Drawing on the findings of science, religion, sociology, psychology, philosophy, mythology, history, ancient texts, and metaphysics, The Dark Arts of Immortality explains how to harness and augment the energy of our innate drives. Through personal combat, sexual fantasy, and mystic rituals the death drive (mortido), sex drive (libido), and growth drive (physis) can provide doorways to supra-consciousness. These core altered states of being (fury, ecstasy, and exaltation) grant preternatural physical, mental, and spiritual abilities. The synthesis of these attributes will elevate personal power in this world and allow one to manifest a divine Being in the afterlife.
Ross Gregory Hariison Shott is a modern Renaissance man and the founder of DAIS: A business manager, noted seducer, and black-belt martial artist as well as a life-long student of philosophy, religion, and human nature. He has spent over 20 years uncovering the secrets of altered states of higher consciousness as a member of the occult underground, sexual subculture, and amateur fight club circuit.
In order to proceed with a discussion of immortality and the important role the Dark Arts play in its attainment, we must first understand what we mean by immortality. There are various types of immortality and each has its own unique paradigm. There are thousands of religions and each one has its particular beliefs concerning the afterlife. Next, we will need to have an understanding of the universe and Man’s relationship to it. Then when we move into a discussion of the Dark Arts of Immortality it will be clear how they transcend all religions and cultures to arrive at the root of Man’s need. There is no other method that provides better scientific and theological balance for achieving personal immortality as well as providing a more profound existence here and progress for the species in general. As with many things however it will not come easy. Many of you will fall by the wayside.
Everything that enters the conscious mind (even things we are not fully aware of) passes into the subconscious. Events act similarly in that they occur in the present then pass into the past. Just as current events are a result of things that have built up in the past, so too are our conscious thoughts built upon not only our past experiences (we are aware of) but also the collective memories in our subconscious. Our brain has become a huge neural construct of belief. Howard Bloom explains part of the difficulty inherent in any type of rebellion against the ideals and habits you have held for most of your life in The Lucifer Principle by saying,
“It’s easy to see why humans are willing to fight to the death to defend the memes [self-replicating cultural ideas] that constitute their belief systems. To allow a faith or ideology to be overthrown would be to abandon a massive neural fabric into which you’ve invested an entire life, a network that cannot easily be replaced, perhaps that cannot be replaced at all.” (138)
Aim of Religion
Religion, as it has become to be accepted, is a method of control taking its place alongside of legislation and economics. Currently nearly every aspect of a person’ s life is an exercise in control by some group or another. Big business controls the standard of living and monopolizes most peoples waking hours. The government controls freedom of action through laws, the military, and taxation, all the while giving the illusion of guaranteeing freedom. The church sets the standard for moral and ethical practices, which are used to keep men passive and dependent. The church has wedged itself between Man, his spirit and his gods by convincing him that they hold the keys to the invisible world and Man is not strong enough, nor smart enough, to enter it by himself.
Make no mistake; the church (like government and business) is an institution of men not of God. Prior to such things as nationalism and economics, religion was a spiritual technology used to help Man deal with mortality and understand his place in the universe. It was an attempt to get in touch with the spirit, a part of Man he felt but of which he was unsure. It was not a set of laws imposed from the top down but a flowering of a Man’s nature toward the divine. Its primary goal was to point towards Man’s immortality.
Man has spent centuries under this control. It takes an effort of superhuman will to break free of such restraints. But first it requires extraordinary awakening to even realize the predicament. You may have to start small and work your way up to bigger and bigger issues. The easiest way to begin is by becoming self-reliant. Stop paying someone else to fix every problem in your life. It could be as little as replacing a sink in your bathroom instead of calling a contractor, or as confusing as doing your own divorce instead of hiring a lawyer (easier than you think). The bottom line is that the more you do this the more you will learn you don’t need their proof of power. You can do it for yourself. It will do you more good than you can imagine right now but just try it and see.
