About the Book

A Dream and a Prayer (One Mans Journey) is the refreshing of my spirit through prayer and meditation. I am alone and lost in a cold dark world with no place to turn except to the author and finisher of life its self. I am seeking relief and comfort while trying to open my heart to a new life of perfect love through Jesus Christ. These poems are the beginning of a once lost hope for a bright future. I am exploring myself and the means to change the tattered and torn wretch of a man that I had become. I can only hope that my life experiences, strengths, weakness, successes, and failures help others to reach out and take hold of their lost dreams and make them into a reality.

About the Author

I am a high school graduate with some college in my background. I am currently working on a novel. I have been writing poetry since I was a child and therefore It seemed practical to compile a book filled with what my heart desires most, to share the love of God with his creation. I am from Galesburg, IL; home of Carl Sandburg and I believe that his work has inspired a passion inside of me for poetry. Though our styles of writing are different our love for expressing our attitudes and feelings with words is obviously the same. Growing up an orphan has made constructing a stable life difficult. I put myself through many hardships by believing the lie that I'd never amount to much. I want to let the readers know that even in the most difficult of situations, Jesus Christ has never left or forsaken me. I can dare to dream again and so can you.
