About the Author

The author is a retired Chemical Engineer. In his engineering career, Irving Hess authored many technical reports and wrote a number of published magazine articles. Although never published, he also wrote a number of short children stories for his grandchildren. Irving Hess was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Upon graduation from college, He worked in Columbus, Ohio, moving to Cleveland where he married his wife, Jacquelyn, in 1958. In 1960, they moved to Philadelphia, Pa. with their infant son, Barry. They and a second son, David, moved to Philadelphia, which they soon regarded as their home town. Both sons are now married, live reasonably nearby, and, have collectively, provided five grandchildren to add much joy to the grandparent's lives. Jacquelyn died on February 15, 1960, at the age of 76; Irving still lives in Philadelphia. This book, a biography of the life of my wife, Jacquelyn, is titled, 'I REMEMBER BUBBY'. It was written as a memorial to her, and to document her life for our children and grandchildren.
