The spark of life had left me and my only recourse was to open that inviting Door to Death, which I could see right before me. It looked like a regular door with a gold colored round knob. I reached down to turn the knob that I might enter the welcoming door of death. There was no fear, only an anticipated and welcomed relief from an unbearable burden. No other thought crossed my mind except that with a determined urgency which had never failed me, I needed to open that inviting door and find eternal and blessed relief.

An addition to the title should be, “so that the door to life would be opened.” Is there a God? If so, how do we find God and what is God’s nature? Is the Bible the inerrant word of God? Is there a heaven and hell? If so, where and when does it exist? What is the secret to finding maximum health and a joyful life? A lifelong search for truth answered these questions as it was revealed to an 83-year-old man as he suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke. He should have died, would have died, but could not die. Particular providence exercised through divine intervention undoubtedly saved his life for the purpose of revealing the truth about these long sought after answers.
About the Author
Fred F. Everhart is a retired veterinarian whose life long search for truth was answered at the point of death. Long plagued with heart disease, he suffered a massive brain hemorrhage in 2009. When the door to death was experienced with entrance denied, it was replaced with a providential revelation that resulted in a renewed life and youthful health filled with truth, love and joy through miracles and Divine Intervention. He experienced the vibrancy of a nineteen year old on reaching his subsequence eighty fourth birthday in 2010. His experience revealed the presence of a spiritual world and the existence of God. The true God does not fit into the mold that traditional churches offer. Agnostics and atheists may find answers to their justifiable skepticism. He lives in Columbia, Maryland with his wife, Elaine. He is an active participant in the howard County Hospital.s pastoral care program while attending the Rolling Hills Baptist Church.
