About the Book

Navigating Insanity is a complex overview of an average person, with not so average views and questions. We live in a multifaceted world. A world of politics, religion, laws, government, economics, and science and many individual beliefs all wrapped up in this thing we call life. Have you ever read the paper, magazine, or watched the news and sat there and just shook your head and wondered why? Have you ever wondered who decided what to name the days of the week, or how they got their names? This may answer some of your questions. It may give you reason to ask others. If you agree with my views; I hope I gave you some facts that you were not aware of. If you disagree: I would hope that you read this with an open mind. I am not trying to tell anyone what to think, or to believe. I wish only to give you something to think about. Finally: If I am successful at all, it will give you some interesting things to discuss with family or friends. No one’s opinion is valid, unless they are willing to listen to someone else’s.

About the Author

When asked what makes me qualified to write a book, I have to say: “I am a human being.” I don’t believe that there is a magical set of rules that are required for someone to have an opinion. Nor are there a set of criteria required for that person to express their thoughts. I am simply expressing my freedom of speech. I am an avid reader of history and I follow politics very closely. I am always looking for things that others may think I am not capable of doing, just so I can prove them wrong. Life is an adventure; people should start living it that way. I was born on the 3rd of March 1968 in the small town of Cresco Iowa. I grew up a few miles away in the small town of Bluffton. I then joined the Army at age 17 and served in the U.S. Infantry for three years and an Armorer for a Combat Engineer unit for the last year. I was the lead guitarist for a locally successful Heavy Metal Band. As a musician I hold partial credit for nearly a hundred and twenty copyrights. I currently hold Degrees in Business, Accounting, and Education from Northeast Iowa Community College. Dena and I were married in 1990. The dogs are our only children.
