About the Author

Mary Spencer lives with her husband and daughter. They share their time between Northern California and Orcas Island in Washington State. Her daughter has inspired many of her children’s stories, including this one. Mary has fond memories of her father reading to her as a child, and as soon as she learned to read, she could always be found with her nose in a book. She now has the joy of reading to her own daughter and encourages all parents and caregivers to do the same.
