Paint the Dragon “HEY LIS’,” as I talk over the ‘Landy’s-getting-up-to-speed/shift-rattle. “What my dear Susan,” smiles back Lisa. “I was just wonderin’ what you think of Rhonda?” I ask. “She sure was full of questions,” I start, “it even made me kinda’ uncomfortable at times, it even, , ,” as Lis’ did her interruption thing. . . Lis’ gave me her BLONDE – ‘quizzative-look; taking immediate control of the siteeation’’. .“Why what on earth do you mean,” said Lisa, as we could now talk getting the Landy ‘up-to-speed. “Are you trying to say Sus’ that you don’t like Rhonda,” quizzed Lisa, “That’s not very nice Susan; you just met her, maybe you. . . As I interrupt her, this time. . .“It’s just that,” I start to say as Lis’; TOTALLY’’ ignores me and starts to rummage thru her bunners CD box; while steering with her knee. “GRAB- the wheel Sus’,” as she lets-go, slides her knee away. I make a – – ‘ ‘L U N G E’’ for the steering wheel. “Yes, Yes, I’m listening Susan,” said Lis’ preoccupied with searching for a CD , , , thank-fully’’, slowing the Rover down. “HERE IT IS,” SHOUTS Lis’, as she slams in a CD, , , with a haunting overture on the start. . . “Well Miss Susan,” continued Lis’, “Rhonda comes from ‘ ‘ H-U-G-E’’’ – ‘ ‘ OLD’’’ European money, , , And I guess she can ‘ ‘kind-of’’’ say or do what ever she damn-well-pleases, , , and yes by the way ‘I’’ do like here,” smiled Lis’ as the CD- - lyrics start. “SIR-CLIFF-RICHARD,” YELLS Lisa. “Devil – W—o—m—a--n’’’,” comes out of Lisa as she starts to sing-along. “Sus’ – if you’re ‘afraidie’’’, listen to the words—Susans’- A - Gettin’- Scared ,” Lisa starts ‘to-wail’’ , , , completely blowin’ my train of thought, , , AND changing the subject. . . ‘ ‘ “Anarchist,” ’’’ I think and lip outload; giving her a me – not-so-successful’’ dirty look, , , as she grabs the wheel back. . . “Watch Out For Them - - - - - STR – aaays, , ,””” as Lis’ continues to sing-a-long; getting the words ALL screwed up, but tryin’ to her hearts content, , , ALMOST, making me laugh. . . She then reaches over, turns the CD-player down and ‘ ‘looks-me-right-in-the-eyes – Lisa-Laser-Like; ; ; “I -MISS – Jamzee.”. . . “WHAT – THE – F- - -,” I get out. . . . . . .

About the Author
Guess the adventure for Jim Gabor really began while stationed in Naples Italy serving the U.S. Navy. Purchase of a brand new 1973 Land/Rover Series III at the factory in Solihull England was, , , well lets say normal life was never to be the same; if that vehicle could tell stories, ahhh maybe not… Once discharged and back in the States Jim got his literary start with an AA Print Media Degree from Rochester Community College that was never fully utilized; add a dash of life’s turmoil and the rest is history…This twist started with employ at the Minnesota Department Natural Resources; where one of his duties was writing articles titled as a Forestry Information Specialist… Then came time to leave the DNR and become a ‘maverick’ with his own Timber Business in the Drift-Less-Area of S. E. Minnesota, S. W. Wisconsin and N. E. Iowa… As one timber land Barron ex college professor-encouraging customer that Jim worked with put it; “Working all day cruising timber by yourself, , , no wonder you have such a wild imagination.” While dabbling on an Ecology degree Jim came up with his base story line for ‘Paint the Dragon’. It had its beginnings from a Business Law class project, upon which a discord on creative-writing ensued with the Law Professor… “I find your paper’s-story-line is too far into the realm of creative-writing for the class project that was assigned,” stated an intrigued Law Professor. “Although not quite fitting my curriculum; play it out and let’s just see where this goes, , , it quite possibly could make a good book,” smiled the Law Professor… So enjoy the quirky read and get ready for another parky installment of the scarpered adventures of Lisa and Susan. .
