Poetry The last time I checked, I mean really put things in to retrospect. I had the ability to infect and inject positively. Both written and vocally, my words are thought inclined. My position is immediately defined. Whether liked or disliked I keep me on your mind. Poetry!!!! A gift given at birth, never meant to, but sometimes hurts. What is it in me this addictive energy? A sureness that craves taming A mistake with no blaming An end with no beginning My approach is…. not so friendly. In fact it’s upfront and respect it demands. Quite impulsive and rarely planned. It’s down right It’s up front It’s direct It’s blunt but not the weed smoking kind. The from the depths of my soul the shoot straight from the hip and finds an escape route through my lips It's Poetry!!!

About the Author
Urban infused writer Kelly Seltzer's pedigree runs as “Deep South” as the Gulf Coast humidity. After frequenting the West Coast and being raised on the Gulf Coast, she was no stranger to exposure. A bit more advanced than The Deep South, and a tad slower than “Out West” eventually the desire for something more than the familiar laid back way of life in Mobile, Alabama peeked her interest. She had Atlanta, Georgia on her mind, but little did she know life as an adult would soon commence. Though she nonchalantly stirred around the Atlanta area, 418 Epiphany Lane always felt like home. I always fancied writing, but my mother encouraged it’s presence to the forefront because I was quite vocal as a child. My thoughts advanced over time, as did my words, and then came significance, thanks to my two daughters Ashanti and Jamie McBride who I call "my eye openers".
