About the Book

These poems were made up of experiences. We all have them, some just appear different to other people. As you read, you will realize that many of these poems are about love and people that aren’t in my life anymore. Poems like Rolling Thunder, Worst Day Ever, R.I.P, As Time Goes By, In The Pouring Rain, and Disappear are about my father. His name was Michael Paonessa; he died when I was 9. This book mainly consists of everyday emotions and feelings that anyone can get.

About the Author

I am inspired to write my poems about many things. My horse, L.B. inspires me because he is my best friend and when I’m riding him, I feel nothing but pure happiness. My friends, family, and things that happen in life are a big part of my inspiration too. I for one have never been in love because I am only 15, but I love writing about it. I look at others and see what they go through and write it down, however most of the emotions and experiences that are expressed in this book are my own.

Sports are a big part of my life and they can help you learn about perseverance and patience. In life you will notice that things aren’t always given to you, and thriving for a goal can help keep you going.

I started writing poetry when I was 13 because it was a constructive way to express my feelings. At first I was shy to reveal my poetry to others. Mr. Cartwright, my 8th grade science teacher entered me in a poetry reading at Barnes and Noble a year later. Since then I have felt confident about my writing, it has been a way to express many different emotions and put them into words for people to read. Throughout this whole process Mrs. George has helped me put this book together. I am very thankful of their assistance over the years of making this book.
