About the Book

“Being patient is a virtue.” Skyy discovers an interesting and peculiar leaf in her yard while she was playing outdoors. She has the opportunity to show everyone the leaf for her Mi Favorito school project, unfortunately, the leaf doesn’t fall when expected.  Skyy is afraid that she will have to deal with the ridicule and embarrassment from her classmates if the leaves don’t fall when expected. Skyy experiences a big lesson about being patient.

About the Author

Lakeysha Sowunmi is passionate about building a fun and healthy foundation in children. From life lessons to personal experiences, she dedicates her time motivating and uplifting children. Lakeysha is an effective mentor, and she is also very active in the community by helping children get physically fit. Her non-profit organization, Perfit Kidz, Inc., was formed to help fight against childhood obesity. She and her husband reside in Southern California and have three beautiful children.
