WriteStuff Contest Winners Declared

Three Writers Awarded AuthorHouse Contracts


Bloomington, Ind.—WriteStuff Writers recently announced the winners of the Next Great Book competition. AuthorHouse sponsored this new writing competition that challenged authors to find ways to “get to the next level of their craft.” Writers from around the world submitted their titles.

Contest winners included Dolores McCabe of Hamden, N.Y., Carol Collier, of Sonoma, Cali., and John Weier, of Sterling, Ill.

McCabe won the grand prize for her historical fiction manuscript, Axios. She was awarded a publishing contract with AuthorHouse worth more than $5,000 and will be formally recognized as the contest winner at an upcoming WriteStuff Writers’ Conference.

Collier, author of Appalachian Summer, placed in second. She received a $1,000 publishing contract with AuthorHouse.

Weier garnered third place for his novel 4th & Inches. His prize was a $500 publishing contract with AuthorHouse.

Honorable Mention was awarded to James C. MacIntosh of Cherry Valley, Mass. for his work, The Graveyard Game.
