About the Book

Health Through the Psalms; To Do God’s Will is a book containing a twelve week program to help people improve their health for a better brain, body and beliefs. This whole program uses twelve psalms from scripture and follows specific topics connected to the human body and brain that are powerful in impacting the health of everyone, no matter their age. These topics are then connected to the influence they have on the entire individual. It includes nutritional and body system information, but the emphasis put on scripture and the importance of also nurturing the faith of the believer are heavily regarded. Each week action steps are given which are specific to the topic at hand. Prayers are included to encourage the believer in going to God in prayer for the help they need to incorporate the action steps which will help them to improve their health.

About the Author

Maureen Greer is both a teacher and a nurse. Although she holds three undergraduate degrees in Education, Nursing, and Music and a Master’s in Educational Psychology, she has devoted her life to the training and teaching of her six children as well as to pursuing God through scripture study, worship, and music. It was not until her sixth child was born with Down syndrome that she heavily dove into researching the brain and body connection and the impact that diet and lifestyle have on the development of the whole person and most importantly in optimizing the brain and overall health including spiritual health. Her pursuit to intervene in whatever way possible for the best cognition and health of her daughter and the rest of her children led her to the area of functional nutrition as well as to become passionately diligent to help all people gain a better brain, body and beliefs using scripture and sound health guidance. Her goal is to seek peace and pursue it; to do God’s will and to help others realize, receive and respond to the calling that God has for the purpose of their lives. She desires that others would realize with her that the ultimate goal of health in their brains, bodies, and beliefs is to do God’s will to enhance the lives of everyone for eternity. She is a certified teacher and graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Elementary Education as well as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Music and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Iowa. In addition, she holds certification as a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner from the Functional Nutrition Lab as well as Health Coaching Certification from the Health Coach Institute. She is a Cognitive Therapist with training from the Equipping Minds Cognitive Therapy Program. Her personal experiences, education and training as well as her pursuit to learn from God through His word have caused her to step out to encourage anyone for their health for their entire life span with the ultimate goal to do God’s will.
